Farmington falls to Northfield in overtime, 5-4 (OT)Schmitz-Maki Tue, Feb 05, 2013 The Northfield Raiders' Nathan Scofield scored 5:20 into overtime to beat the Farmington Tigers, 5-4 (OT). Northfield almost relinquished a three-score lead. The Raiders made it 4-1 on a goal by Andrew Scofield at 2:13 in the third period. Farmington got to within 4-3 on a goal by Justin Novak at 13:42 in the third period. Taylor Freiermuth also scored for Northfield. Other players who recorded assists for Northfield were Andrew Carroll, Logan VonRuden, Mitchell Bornhauser, Benjamin Papke, Garrod Ernst, and Alexander Morschiing, who contributed one a piece. The Tigers forced Northfield goalie Spencer Jones to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. The defensemen of Farmington were also effective in the Raiders' zone, and came away with two goals. Farmington also got a goal from Devin Bernu as well. In addition, Farmington received assists from Dallas Tucker, who had two and Alex Aubrecht and Kevin Olund, who each chipped in one. Jones rejected 38 shots on goal for Northfield. The Raiders ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. Austin Krause recorded 20 saves for the Tigers. Farmington avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
