Farmington blows out Chanhassen, 6-2

The Chanhassen Storm had trouble finding ways to stop the Farmington Tigers, which beat Storm, 6-2.

Dallas Tucker was all over the ice for Farmington, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Tucker scored the first of his two goals at 1:46 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Farmington. Jack Erickson picked up the assist. Tucker's next tally made the score 5-1 Farmington with 18:16 left in the third period. Justin Novak provided the assist.

The Tigers surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Farmington averages 3.5 goals per game.

Farmington additionally got points from Erickson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Farmington included Tanner Grubb, who had one and Justin Hyytinen, who had two. More assists for Farmington came via Grant Hauswirth, who had two and Grady Hauswirth and Kevin Olund, who contributed one a piece.

Chanhassen stifled the Tigers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Storm were led by Bryson Burkholder, who racked up one goal. Burkholder scored on the power play 14:03 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Chanhassen had gotten the advantage when Farmington's Erickson was sent off for elbowing. Luke Rongitsch also scored for Chanhassen. In addition, Chanhassen received assists from Collin Seal and Cal Tentis, who each chipped in one.

Gage Overby recorded 17 saves for the Tigers. Farmington incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Harlin Paradise made 24 saves for the Storm on 30 shots. Chanhassen incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
