Chanhassen holds on for 4-2 win against Red WingVictoria Tue, Jan 08, 2013 The Red Wing Wingers tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Chanhassen Storm would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2. Chanhassen made the score 4-1 on a goal by Collin Seal at 5:44 in the third period, and Red Wing got as close as 4-2 when Alex Rezansoff scored 15:09 into the third period. Jake Bever had a great game for the Storm, netting two goals. Bever found the back of the net 51 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Chanhassen and again while 11:06 into the second to make the score 3-1 Chanhassen. Chanhassen stifled the Wingers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Chanhassen also got a goal from Logan Wilkinson as well. Red Wing's offense rang up 33 shots on the Storm's net. The Wingers were helped by Tyler Rea, who had one goal. Rea scored 14:38 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Mitch Ramstad assisted on the tally. Other players who recorded assists for Red Wing were Nick Sammon, Taylor Hanson, and Kyle LaPorte, who each chipped in one. Chanhassen's Erik Anderson stopped 31 shots out of the 33 that he faced. The Storm totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Preston Blaney recorded 13 saves for Red Wing. The Wingers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
