The Richfield Spartans could not stop the Chaska Hawks' Brooks Wineberg, who tallied a hat trick in a 4-2 win.

Wineberg's first goal came 50 seconds into the second period. He then added goals at 1:41 into the second and at 15:14 into the second.

Richfield was unable to stop Chaska from sending pucks towards the net, and the Hawks eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. Chaska could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Chaska additionally got points from Josh Winslow, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for Chaska came via Zac Rodeheffer, who had one and Derek Annett, who had two.

The Spartans were helped by Kevin Ahlstrand, who finished with one goal. Ahlstrand scored on the power play 14:05 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Chaska. Richfield had gotten the advantage when the Hawks' Carter Schmidt was sent off for roughing. Trigve Duryea picked up the assist. Richfield also got a goal from Kody Ahlstrand as well.

Blake Jackson made 26 saves for Chaska on 28 shots. The Hawks registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. John Meyer rejected 34 shots on goal for the Spartans. Richfield incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
