The Chanhassen Storm could not stop the Rochester Lourdes Eagles' Alex Funk, who tallied a hat trick in a 4-2 win.

Funk's first goal came 2:20 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:21 into the first and at 1:53 into the third.

Rochester Lourdes pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 17 penalty minutes.

The Eagles put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Chanhassen to score on any of its nine power plays. The Storm were unable to stop Rochester Lourdes from sending pucks towards the net, and the Eagles eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

Rochester Lourdes also got points from Jason Samuelson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Rochester Lourdes received assists from Karl Krecke and Mason Carstens, who each chipped in one.

Chanhassen was helped by Bryson Burkholder, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Burkholder scored 7:35 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Rochester Lourdes. Jake Theis provided the assist. Chanhassen additionally got points from Theis, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Chanhassen were Logan Wilkinson, who had one.

Andrew Ellingson recorded 18 saves for Rochester Lourdes. The Eagles registered one goal on five power play opportunities. The Storm's Erik Anderson stopped 37 shots out of the 41 that he faced. Chanhassen incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
