The Chaska Hawks and the Henry Sibley Warriors skate to 3-3 (OT) tie

Chaska rebounded from a two-goal deficit to tie Henry Sibley, 3-3 (OT).

The Hawks managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Chaska ended up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Hawks were led by Derek Annett, who tallied two goals. Annett scored the first of his two goals short handed at 9:39 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Henry Sibley. A holding call on Carter Schmidt put Chaska on the penalty kill. Annett's next tally short handed made the score 3-3 with 3:21 left in the third period. Cade Gersich picked up the assist. Chaska also got a goal from Austin Hardy as well.

The Warriors were helped by Nick Cooper, who racked up one goal. Cooper scored 10:45 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Henry Sibley. Ben Sather also scored for Henry Sibley. Other players who recorded assists for Henry Sibley were T.J. Lang, Noah Nelson, and Austin Westman, who each chipped in one.

The Hawks' Blake Jackson stopped 16 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Chaska registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Jeremy Zeis made 27 saves for Henry Sibley on 30 shots. The Warriors incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
