Spring Lake Park rips North Branch, 9-1

The Spring Lake Park Panthers were firing on all cylinders against the North Branch Vikings, and when the final buzzer sounded Panthers emerged with a 9-1 win.

Spring Lake Park's offense was sparked by Pete Seinko, as he ended with four assists in a victory against North Branch.

The Panthers kept the Vikings' goalie busy throughout the game, and Cedric Geldon made 32 saves on 41 shots. Spring Lake Park found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Panthers have scored at the pace of 3.5 goals per game during the current campaign.

Spring Lake Park also got points from Austen Long, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Jacob Nystrom, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Nick Turnquist, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Nick Heid, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Spring Lake Park included David Taylor, who had two and Noah Simonson, Jake Kroll, and Noah Bormann, who each put in one. In addition, Spring Lake Park received assists from Patrick Luoma, Jason Roeske, and Gage Rickenbach, who contributed one a piece and Sam Faulkner, Deven Sunell, and Brandon Richards, who each chipped in two.

North Branch's offense was handcuffed by Spring Lake Park's defensive play, and the Vikings managed only 12 shots on goal during the game.

Brian Jones made 11 saves for the Panthers on 12 shots. Spring Lake Park incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. North Branch incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
