Spring Lake Park takes care of Robbinsdale Cooper early, wins 11-3

The Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks fell behind early, and the Spring Lake Park Panthers kept piling on the points on the way to an 11-3 victory.

Spring Lake Park got the win with help from a great game by Pete Seinko, who had one goal and three assists. Seinko scored 54 seconds into the first period to make the score 2-0 Spring Lake Park. David Taylor picked up the assist.

The Panthers forced Robbinsdale Cooper goalie Keegan Husom to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. Spring Lake Park surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Panthers average 3.3 goals per game.

Spring Lake Park also got points from Austen Long, who also registered two goals and two assists, Skylar Fisher, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Jacob Nystrom, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Nick Turnquist, who also had one goal and two assists, Deven Sunell, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Taylor, who also grabbed one goal and three assists, Dustin Aanerud, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Brandon Richards, who also had one goal and two assists. Spring Lake Park also got a goal from Sam Faulkner as well. More assists for Spring Lake Park came via Nick Heid, who had two and Jack Hiemenz and Jake Kroll, who contributed one a piece.

The Hawks were helped by Trey Rooney, who racked up one goal. Rooney scored short handed 2:38 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Spring Lake Park. Joe Huber provided the assist. Greg Nightingale also scored for Robbinsdale Cooper. In addition, Robbinsdale Cooper received assists from Alex Stager and Nehwon Norkeh, who each chipped in one.

JT Hirschi rejected 20 shots on goal for Spring Lake Park. The Panthers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Husom recorded 20 saves for Robbinsdale Cooper. The Hawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
