Chisago Lakes Area blows out Robbinsdale Cooper, 8-0Chisago Lakes Arena Sat, Feb 09, 2013 The Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats were firing on all cylinders against the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks, and when the final buzzer sounded Wildcats emerged with an 8-0 win. Chisago Lakes Area got the win thanks to a great game by Jacob Speight, who had one goal and two assists. Speight scored on the power play 1:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chisago Lakes Area. Jacob Breyfogle picked up the assist. The Wildcats stifled Robbinsdale Cooper's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Chisago Lakes Area's defense was surprisingly good. The Wildcats average 2.3 goals allowed per game. Chisago Lakes Area kept the Hawks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Keegan Husom made 48 saves on 56 shots. The Wildcats bested their season scoring average. Chisago Lakes Area has scored at the pace of 4.2 goals per game during the current campaign. Chisago Lakes Area also got points from Blake Lizotte, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Trevor Lushanko, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Bradee Thompson, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Breyfogle, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Chisago Lakes Area also had goals scored by Ryan Chambers, who had one and Brandon Gillespie, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Chisago Lakes Area were Christopher Ritter, Daniel Sargeant, Zachary Lambrecht, Taylor O'Connor, and Landon Lushanko, who each chipped in one. Robbinsdale Cooper could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Hawks put an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game. Robbinsdale Cooper did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 10 shots on net to force 10 saves. Jacob Dubose recorded 10 saves for the Wildcats.
