In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats escaped with a 4-3 victory over the Spring Lake Park Panthers.

Chisago Lakes Area gained the winning advantage on a goal by Daniel Sargeant 13:07 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer.

The Wildcats was effective with a man advantage, and put in three goals while on the power play. Chisago Lakes Area could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Wildcats were led by Landon Lushanko, who grabbed two goals. Lushanko scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 3:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chisago Lakes Area. A roughing penalty on Pete Seinko had put Chisago Lakes Area on the power play. Trevor Lushanko picked up the assist. Lushanko's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 Chisago Lakes Area with 4:00 left in the first period. The Wildcats had taken the advantage when Spring Lake Park's Jacob Nystrom got sent off for high sticking. Lushanko assisted on the tally. Jacob Speight also scored for Chisago Lakes Area.
