Huge game by Moore boosts Benilde St. Margarets over St. Francis, 7-2

The Benilde St. Margarets Red Knights' T.J. Moore had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team's 7-2 win over the St. Francis Saints.

Moore scored 11:01 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Benilde St. Margarets. Grant Besse assisted on the tally. Moore dished an assist on Nate Labosky's goal that made the score 5-2 Benilde St. Margarets at 4:55 into the third period. He then added assists on Besse's goal at 9:46 into the third and on Labosky's goal at 13:38 into the third.

Benilde St. Margarets managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Red Knights finished below its season average of 10.0 penalty minutes per game. With 56 shots on target during the contest, Benilde St. Margarets exceeded the 16.5 shots it averages per game this year.

Benilde St. Margarets also got points from Spencer Naas, who also racked up two goals and one assist, Chase Jungels, who also registered one goal and one assist, Besse, who also grabbed one goal and three assists, and Labosky, who also finished with two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. In addition, Benilde St. Margarets received assists from Ben Newhouse and Evan Fleming, who contributed one a piece.

St. Francis' offense operated below it season average. The Saints put an average of 4.5 pucks into the net per game.

St. Francis was helped by Cameron Kaehler, who had one goal and one assist. Kaehler scored 13:41 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Benilde St. Margarets. Kyle Wagner provided the assist. St. Francis additionally got points from Zach Foesch, who also registered one goal and one assist.

Jalen Long recorded 16 saves for the Red Knights. Benilde St. Margarets registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities. Darion Hanson rejected 49 shots on goal for the Saints. St. Francis ended with no penalties and went 0-for-1 on the power play.
