Mac Rathmanner gave the Mahtomedi Zephyers a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Totino-Grace Eagles when he scored 5:07 into the extra period.

Mahtomedi was sparked by Rathmanner, who racked up one goal.

The Zephyers managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Mahtomedi wound up below its season average of 8.0 penalty minutes per game.

Mahtomedi additionally got points from Kellen Campbell, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Jack Becker, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Mahtomedi were Trevor Dittberner, Trevor Keeney, and Truman Slack, who each chipped in one.

Totino-Grace stifled the Zephyers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Eagles could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Totino-Grace averages 5.1 goals per game. The Eagles' offense rang up 31 shots on Mahtomedi's net.

Totino-Grace was helped by Derek Lodermeier, who registered one goal. Lodermeier scored 6:35 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Totino-Grace. Connor Schmidt also scored for Totino-Grace.

Colin Denis recorded 29 saves for the Zephyers. Mahtomedi registered zero goals on three power play opportunities. Michael Larson made 26 saves for the Eagles on 29 shots. Totino-Grace incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
