Foesch's hat trick boosts St. Francis over Robbinsdale Cooper, 8-3

A hat trick by Zach Foesch was the highlight in Saints' 8-3 win against the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks.

Foesch notched his first tally 5:12 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:14 into the second and at 14:41 into the third.

The St. Francis Saints' offense rang up 46 shots on Robbinsdale Cooper's net. St. Francis bested its season scoring average. This season, the Saints average 4.6 goals per contest.

St. Francis also got points from Ben Falk, who also racked up two goals and two assists and Cameron Kaehler, who also tallied one goal and four assists to lead the team in points. St. Francis also got a goal from Kyle Wagner as well. In addition, St. Francis received assists from Carter Hilgers, who had three and Brett Aldrich, Tyler Struntz, and Justin Nielsen, who contributed one a piece.

The Hawks were helped by Nehwon Norkeh, who registered two goals. Norkeh scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 12:36 into the second period to make the score 4-1 St. Francis. Robbinsdale Cooper had gained a power play chance when Jimmy Mayer was whistled for tripping. Justin Regnier provided the assist. Norkeh's next tally on the power play made the score 6-3 St. Francis with 6:20 left in the third period. Trey Rooney assisted on the tally. Dylan Erickson also scored for Robbinsdale Cooper. More assists for Robbinsdale Cooper came via Alex Stager and Greg Nightingale, who each chipped in one.

St. Francis' Darion Hanson stopped 13 shots out of the 16 that he faced. The Saints incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Kelly Sandhofer rejected 38 shots on goal for the Hawks. Robbinsdale Cooper incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
