Foesch leads St. Francis over St. Michael-Albertville, 6-2

Zach Foesch had four goals and one assist to lead the St. Francis Saints to a 6-2 victory over the St. Michael-Albertville Knights.

Foesch got on the scoresheet 13:39 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:33 into the first, at 9:30 into the third, and at 16:02 into the third.

St. Francis' penalty kill excelled, as the Saints gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

St. Francis stifled St. Michael-Albertville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Saints kept the Knights' goalie busy throughout the game, and Matt Borgen made 29 saves on 35 shots.

Tate Blankenship also scored for St. Francis. More assists for St. Francis came via Cameron Kaehler, who had four and Darion Hanson, Brett Aldrich, Kyle Wagner, and Ben Falk, who each chipped in one.

St. Michael-Albertville's penalty kill unit could not stop St. Francis' power play, which converted on four of four opportunities.

The Knights were helped by Connor Spetz, who racked up one goal. Spetz scored 3:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Michael-Albertville. Brett Marshall picked up the assist. St. Michael-Albertville also got a goal from Nate Fischbach as well. In addition, St. Michael-Albertville received assists from Tanner Starr, who had one.

Darion Hanson made 24 saves for the Saints on 26 shots. St. Francis incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. St. Michael-Albertville ended with 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major.
