Huge game by Lodermeier boosts Totino-Grace over St. Francis, 7-2

The Totino-Grace Eagles' Derek Lodermeier had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 7-2 win over the St. Francis Saints.

Lodermeier scored at 7:49 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 1:26 into the second to make the score 2-2.

Totino-Grace forced St. Francis goalie Darion Hanson to work between the pipes, taking 52 shots.

Totino-Grace additionally got points from Carter Roo, who also grabbed one goal and four assists to lead the team in points, TJ Roo, who also tallied two goals and two assists, and Kai Barber, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Totino-Grace also got a goal from Marco Lucarelli as well. In addition, Totino-Grace received assists from Connor Schmidt, who had two and Jason Krych, who had three.

The Saints could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

St. Francis was helped by Zach Foesch, who racked up one goal. Foesch scored 1:16 into the second period to make the score 2-1 St. Francis. Tate Blankenship picked up the assist. Ben Falk also scored for St. Francis. More assists for St. Francis came via Lucas Carroll, Jordan Olson, and Justin Nielsen, who contributed one a piece.

Michael Larson rejected 19 shots on goal for the Eagles. Totino-Grace incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Hanson recorded 45 saves for the Saints. St. Francis registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities.
