Buffalo holds on for 3-2 win against St. Francis

The St. Francis Saints tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Buffalo Bison held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Jack Patnode put Buffalo up 3-0 in the second period, but St. Francis pulled to within one on Zach Foesch's tally 9:49 into the third period.

The Bison got the win thanks to a great game by Patnode, who had two goals and one assist. Patnode scored the first of his two goals at 3:25 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Buffalo. Wilson Anderle picked up the assist. Patnode's next tally made the score Buffalo with 16:12 left in the second period. Casey Anderson assisted on the tally.

Buffalo also got a goal from Loren Lindvall as well. In addition, Buffalo received assists from Joe Hayes and Cale Ehresmann, who each chipped in one.

The Saints' offense rang up 48 shots on Buffalo's net.

St. Francis was led by Cameron Kaehler, who had one goal and one assist. Kaehler scored 8:00 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Buffalo. Ryan Mohar provided the assist. Other players who recorded assists for St. Francis were Carter Hilgers, who had one.

Tim Harkness recorded 46 saves for the Bison. Buffalo ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. The Saints' Darion Hanson stopped 20 shots out of the 23 that he faced. St. Francis finished the contest with no penalties and went 1-for-0 with the man advantage.
