Forest Lake beats St. Francis 6-0 as Peterson gains shutoutFLAAA Arena Tue, Dec 11, 2012 Collin Peterson recorded a shutout against the St. Francis Saints as the Forest Lake Rangers picked up a 6-0 win. Forest Lake was led by Ryan Herbert, who finished with one goal. Herbert scored on the power play 3:18 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Forest Lake. Weston Kilpela assisted on the tally. The Rangers' offense rang up 45 shots on St. Francis' net. Forest Lake also got points from Kilpela, who also racked up one goal and one assist, John Suess, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Cody Rogala, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Forest Lake also got a goal from Kyle Parker as well. Other players who recorded assists for Forest Lake were Brett Gravelle, who had two and Clayton Dahly, Trevor Thompson, Landon Pikala, Brandon Rogers, and Alex Egle, who each chipped in one. The Saints' offense operated below they season average. St. Francis averages 3.5 goals per game. The Saints were hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled five minors and two majors for 20 minutes in penalty time. Collin Peterson made 26 saves for Forest Lake on 26 shots. The Rangers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. St. Francis' Darion Hanson stopped 39 shots out of the 45 that he faced. The Saints registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities.
