Seinko's goals lift Spring Lake Park to 3-1 victory over North HighFogerty Arena - North Rink Sat, Dec 08, 2012 Pete Seinko had two goals to lead the Spring Lake Park Panthers to a 3-1 victory over the North High Polars. Seinko found the back of the net 7:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Spring Lake Park and again while 9:18 into the third to make the score 3-1 Spring Lake Park.Spring Lake Park's JT Hirschi was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 25 saves and let only one puck past him. Despite the solid performance, Hirschi will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.18 entering the contest. North High's power play was ineffective against the Panthers' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Spring Lake Park racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 14.0 minutes per game the Panthers had been spending in the box. Spring Lake Park additionally got points from Austen Long, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Spring Lake Park were Dustin Aanerud, who had one and Deven Sunell, who had two. The Polars stifled Spring Lake Park's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. North High was led by Mark Meister, who scored the team's only goal. Meister scored on the power play 15:28 into the second period to make the score 1-1. The Polars had gained a power play chance when Marcus Mulvihill was whistled for elbowing. Kyle Blom picked up the assist. The Panthers registered zero goals on three power play opportunities. Mario Bollman recorded 26 saves for North High. The Polars incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
