Totino-Grace survives Thief River Falls/Goodridge comeback, wins 4-2

The Totino-Grace Eagles survived a determined comeback attempt by the Thief River Falls/Goodridge Prowlers on the way to a 4-2 win.

Totino-Grace made the score 4-1 on a goal by Derek Lodermeier at 30 seconds in the third period, and Thief River Falls/Goodridge got as close as 4-2 when Logan Ose scored 14:08 into the third period.

The Eagles got the win behind a great game by Lodermeier, who had two goals and one assist. Lodermeier scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 1:06 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Totino-Grace. Totino-Grace had gained a power play chance when Kael Fontaine was whistled for interference. TJ Roo picked up the assist. Lodermeier's next tally on the power play made the score Totino-Grace with 19:30 left in the third period. Chandler Nauman assisted on the tally.

The Eagles forced the Prowlers goalie Tanner Holmes to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Totino-Grace also got a goal from Connor Schmidt as well. Other players who recorded assists for Totino-Grace were Nick Tandeski and Blake Vagle, who contributed one a piece.

Thief River Falls/Goodridge was helped by Logan Engelstad, who had one goal. Engelstad scored on the power play 11:42 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Totino-Grace. The Prowlers earned a power play opportunity when Brandon Hilliard was put in the box for tripping. Isak Bergland picked up the assist. In addition, Thief River Falls/Goodridge received assists from Ian Lund, who had one.

Totino-Grace's Michael Larson stopped 22 shots out of the 24 that he faced. The Eagles incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Holmes rejected 34 shots on goal for Thief River Falls/Goodridge. The Prowlers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
