Behind a great game by Chase West, who had two goals, the Anoka Tornadoes defeated the Coon Rapids Cardinals, 3-0.

West scored at 6:34 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Anoka and again while on the power play 44 seconds into the third to make the score 2-0 Anoka.

Anoka's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Coon Rapids power plays. The Tornadoes' offense rang up 41 shots on Coon Rapids' net.

Ryan Streetar also scored for Anoka. More assists for Anoka came via Gavin Putt, who had two and Drew McLaughlin, Ralph Hunt, Jacob Mack, and Adam Orn, who contributed one a piece.

The Cardinals were held below their usual level of production. Coon Rapids puts an average of 2.1 pucks into the net per game.

Robbie Goor made 24 saves for Anoka on 24 shots. The Tornadoes incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Cardinals' Justin Ball stopped 38 shots out of the 41 that he faced. Coon Rapids incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
