Blaine beats Elk River 9-3 as Norling gets hat trickFogerty Arena - South Rink Thu, Feb 07, 2013 The Elk River Elks could not stop the Blaine Bengals' Jesse Norling, who tallied a hat trick in a 9-3 win. Norling's first goal came 4:44 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:33 into the first and at zero seconds into the second.Blaine's penalty kill excelled, as the Bengals gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. Blaine stifled Elk River's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The 26 shots that the Bengals put on net surpassed Blaine's average of 1.5 shot per game this season. The Bengals outdid their season average for goals scored. Blaine has scored at the pace of 5.2 goals per game during the current campaign. Blaine additionally got points from Brandon Noterman, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Tyler Cline, who also finished with two goals and four assists to lead the team in points, and Dallas Gerads, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Blaine also got a goal from Luke Notermann as well. In addition, Blaine received assists from Tyler Frischmmon, who had two and Zack Wylie and Alex Copa, who each chipped in one.
