Seth Johnson netted a hat trick to lead the Coon Rapids Cardinals over the Osseo Orioles, 7-2.

Johnson got on the scoresheet 14:04 into the second period. He then added goals at 14:32 into the third and at 15:55 into the third.

Coon Rapids pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 22 penalty minutes.

The Cardinals outdid their season average for goals scored. Coon Rapids has scored at the pace of 2.2 goals per game during the current campaign.

Coon Rapids also got points from Samuel Naegele, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Coon Rapids also got a goal from Stephen Braschayko as well. In addition, Coon Rapids received assists from Garret Dey, Jake Bruner, and Robbie Randall, who contributed one a piece and Cody Crandall and Connor Kirkeide, who each chipped in two.

Osseo was led by Josh Stromberg, who had one goal and one assist. Stromberg scored on the power play 9:31 into the second period to make the score 2-2. AJ Lyons picked up the assist. Jared Vance also scored for Osseo.

Justin Ball recorded 25 saves for the Cardinals. Coon Rapids registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Alex Otto made 23 saves for the Orioles on 30 shots. Osseo incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
