Centennial's Sinna deadly on offense in 4-1 win against Anoka

Kenny Sinna had two goals to lead the Centennial Cougars to a 4-1 victory over the Anoka Tornadoes.

Sinna scored at 4:55 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Centennial and again while on the power play 6:29 into the third to make the score 3-1 Centennial.

Centennial's penalty kill excelled, as the Cougars gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Centennial stifled Anoka's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. By firing 35 shots on goal, the Cougars exceeded the 1.0 shot they average per game this year. Centennial could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

Centennial additionally got points from Ryner Gorowsky, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Adam Anderson also scored for Centennial. More assists for Centennial came via Wyatt Close, Andrew Bertrand, and Blake Miller, who each chipped in one.

The Tornadoes were led by Drew McLaughlin, who scored the team's only goal. McLaughlin scored 5:04 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Adam Orn assisted on the tally.

Blake Miller made 20 saves for the Cougars on 21 shots. Centennial registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Robbie Goor rejected 31 shots on goal for Anoka. The Tornadoes incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
