Passolt nets hat trick, leads Maple Grove to 5-3 win over Robbinsdale ArmstrongMaple Grove Premier Sat, Feb 02, 2013 A hat trick by Josh Passolt was the highlight in Crimson's 5-3 win against the Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons. Passolt's first goal came 8:03 into the second period. He then added goals at 3:20 into the third and at 8:50 into the third.By firing 39 shots on goal, the Maple Grove Crimson exceeded the 2.9 shots they average per game this year. Maple Grove also got points from Sam Valerius, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Maple Grove also got a goal from Joe Norenberg as well. In addition, Maple Grove received assists from Aric Kohns, who had one and Chris Freemark, who had two. Robbinsdale Armstrong was helped by Shea Borer, who had one goal. Borer scored 34 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-2. Ben Hansen assisted on the tally. Robbinsdale Armstrong additionally got points from Hansen, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Cole Goergen also scored for Robbinsdale Armstrong. Other players who recorded assists for Robbinsdale Armstrong were Tommy Wood, who had one and Kristian Evans and Blake Babineau, who contributed two a piece. Calvin McKenney recorded 20 saves for Maple Grove. The Crimson totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. The Falcons' Grant Mathiason stopped 34 shots out of the 39 that he faced. Robbinsdale Armstrong incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
