Blaine rips Andover, 5-0

The Blaine Bengals were firing on all cylinders against the Andover Huskies, and when the final buzzer sounded Bengals emerged with a 5-0 win.

Tyler Cline had one goal and two assists to lead Blaine. Cline scored 13:02 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Blaine. Luke Notermann picked up the assist.

The Bengals put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Andover to score on any of its five power plays. Blaine was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. The Bengals average 2.8 goals allowed per game. With 48 shots on target during the contest, Blaine exceeded the 2.7 shots it averages per game this year.

Blaine also got points from Notermann, who also tallied two goals and one assist and Joey Lau, who also had one goal and one assist. Blaine also got a goal from Dallas Gerads as well. In addition, Blaine received assists from Alex Copa and Ian Scheid, who contributed one a piece.

The Huskies' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Blaine power plays. Andover did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Huskies put an average of 2.5 pucks into the net per game. Andover put 20 shots on net during the contest, more than the 5.0 it averages per game.

Bailey Ketola rejected 20 shots on goal for the Bengals. Blaine incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Chase Perry recorded 43 saves for the Huskies. Andover incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
