Champlin Park beats Buffalo 3-0 as Schuenke gains shutout

The Champlin Park Rebels used a sparkling performance by Grant Schuenke to take down the Buffalo Bison, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Champlin Park's 3-0 shutout victory.

The Rebels were sparked by Luke Dalman, who had one goal and one assist. Dalman scored 14:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Champlin Park. Brock Puchalski assisted on the tally.

Champlin Park stifled Buffalo's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Rebels' defense was surprisingly good. Champlin Park gives up 2.9 goals on average per game. The Bison were unable to stop the Rebels from sending pucks towards the net, and Champlin Park eventually piled up 47 shots on goal.

Champlin Park also got a goal from Jack Gromek as well. Other players who recorded assists for Champlin Park were Danny Eggerichs, Ryan McNeil, and Jordan Baker, who each chipped in one.

Buffalo's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Champlin Park power plays. The Bison's offense operated below they season average. Buffalo puts an average of 2.3 pucks into the net per game.

Schuenke rejected 26 shots on goal for the Rebels. Champlin Park incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Mikey Otten recorded 44 saves for the Bison. Buffalo incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
