The Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons and the Anoka Tornadoes skate to 1-1 (OT) tie

Anoka found itself down againt Robbinsdale Armstrong, but battled back to secure to a 1-1 (OT) tie.

The Falcons managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Robbinsdale Armstrong wound up below its season average of 10.0 penalty minutes per game. The Falcons' offense operated below they season average. Robbinsdale Armstrong averages 3.2 goals per game.

The Falcons were led by Blake Babineau, who scored the team's only goal. Babineau scored 3:53 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Robbinsdale Armstrong. Ben Hansen provided the assist.

The Tornadoes put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Robbinsdale Armstrong to score on any of its four power plays. The Falcons were unable to stop Anoka from sending pucks towards the net, and the Tornadoes eventually piled up 43 shots on goal.

Anoka was led by Jacob Mack, who scored the team's only goal. Mack scored 2:48 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Drew McLaughlin assisted on the tally.

Grant Mathiason recorded 42 saves for Robbinsdale Armstrong. Nick Cameron made 25 saves for the Tornadoes on 26 shots. Anoka incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
