Gorowsky leads Centennial over Moorhead, 5-1

The Centennial Cougars' Hans Gorowsky had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team's 5-1 win over the Moorhead Spuds.

Gorowsky got on the board by slotting home a goal 6:17 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Centennial. Kenny Sinna provided the assist. Gorowsky dished an assist on Sinna's goal that made the score 1-0 Centennial at 22 seconds into the first period. He then added assists on Andrew Bertrand's goal at 5:42 into the first and on Sinna's goal at 8:02 into the second.

Centennial's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Moorhead power plays. The Cougars were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 14 penalty minutes.

Centennial additionally got points from Sinna, who also had two goals and one assist. Centennial also got a goal from Wyatt Close as well. In addition, Centennial received assists from Colin Hughes, Jordan Pitlick, Ryan Meany, Ryner Gorowsky, and Adam Anderson, who each chipped in one.

Moorhead did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Spuds average 3.8 goals per game. Moorhead forced Centennial goalie Patrick Munson to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. The Spuds could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Moorhead was led by Tony Uglem, who scored the team's only goal. Uglem scored 3:36 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Centennial. Nicholas Uglem assisted on the tally.

Munson recorded 30 saves for the Cougars. Centennial registered two goals on four power play opportunities. The Spuds' Peter MacFarlane stopped 22 shots out of the 27 that he faced.
