Bloomington Kennedy stifles Minneapolis' comeback, gains 5-3 victoryBloomington Ice Gardens 1 Sat, Feb 16, 2013 The Bloomington Kennedy Eagles, who led by four goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Bloomington Kennedy and clinched a 5-3 victory. The Eagles led by four goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Bloomington Kennedy's Michael Jost's scored on the power play at 6:43 in the third period to put the Eagles up 4-0. Bloomington Kennedy got the win with help from a great game by Jost, who had one goal and two assists. The Eagles put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Minneapolis Novas to score on any of their four power plays. Bloomington Kennedy forced Minneapolis goalie TJ Moseley to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. The Eagles' goal total was higher than their season average. Bloomington Kennedy averages 2.8 goals per game. The Eagles got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.
