Eagan beats Eastview 7-1 as Glienke gets hat trickApple Valley Sports Arena Tue, Feb 12, 2013 A hat trick by Zach Glienke was the highlight in Wildcats' 7-1 win against the Eastview Lightning. Glienke notched his first tally 11:17 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:54 into the third and at 15:49 into the third.The the Eagan Wildcats penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled six minors and one major for 17 minutes in penalty time. Eagan surpassed its season average of 8.0 penalty minutes per game. The Wildcats put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Eastview to score on any of its five power plays. Eagan kept the Lightning's goalie busy throughout the game, and Zachary Driscoll made 41 saves on 48 shots. Eagan additionally got points from Jesse Gabrielle, who also had one goal and one assist and Zach Schultz, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Josh Loew also scored for Eagan. More assists for Eagan came via Nick Wolff and Cullen Willox, who contributed two a piece. Eastview's offense was handcuffed by the Wildcats' defensive play, and the Lightning managed only 14 shots on goal during the game. Eastview's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. The Lightning average 2.3 goals allowed per game. Eastview was led by Kevin Wobschall, who scored the team's only goal. Wobschall scored 2:28 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Eagan. Brett Schweiger provided the assist. Andrew Lindgren rejected 13 shots on goal for Eagan. The Wildcats registered two goals on six power play opportunities. The Lightning ended with 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors.
