Burnsville downs Bloomington Jefferson in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Burnsville Blaze pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the Bloomington Jefferson Jaguars on a clutch goal by Tyler Sheehy.

Burnsville was sparked by Sheehy, who grabbed one goal. Sheehy scored 58 seconds into overtime to make the score 3-2 Burnsville.

The Blaze excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. With 32 shots on target during the contest, Burnsville exceeded the 0.9 shots it averages per game this year.

Dan Ames also scored for Burnsville. More assists for Burnsville came via Cole Borchardt and Ian Taylor, who each chipped in one.

Bloomington Jefferson did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Jaguars average 4.1 goals per game. Bloomington Jefferson's offense rang up 33 shots on the Blaze's net.

The Jaguars were led by Johnny Panvica, who tallied one goal. Panvica scored 36 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-2. In addition, Bloomington Jefferson received assists from AJ Robbel and Jack Weiss, who contributed one a piece.

Chris Mallon made 31 saves for Burnsville on 33 shots. The Blaze incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Grant Martens recorded 29 saves for Bloomington Jefferson. The Jaguars incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
