Behind two goals and one assist from Zach Schultz and two goals and two assists from Cullen Willox, the Eagan Wildcats downed the Lakeville North Panthers 8-2.

Schultz scored the first of his two goals at 16:22 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Eagan. Zach Glienke picked up the assist. Schultz's next tally made the score 7-2 Eagan with 7:49 left in the second period. Willox provided the assist. Willox scored the first of his two goals at 7:20 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Eagan. Glienke picked up the assist. Willox's next tally made the score 6-2 Eagan with 9:52 left in the second period. Will Peterson provided the assist.

Eagan's offense rang up 46 shots on Lakeville North's net. The Wildcats' goal total was higher than their season average. Eagan averages 5.7 goals per game. The Wildcats were ineffective while on the power play, as they were held to one goal off of 11 man advantages.

Lakeville North was led by Connor Hyden, who registered two goals. Hyden scored the first of his two goals at 3:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lakeville North. Erik Rutt picked up the assist. Hyden's next tally made the score 3-2 Eagan with 19:47 left in the second period. Jack McNeely assisted on the tally.
