Prior Lake downs St. Michael-Albertville, 6-1

Dylan Zins tallied two points to lead the Prior Lake Lakers to a 6-1 victory over the St. Michael-Albertville Knights.

Prior Lake's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five St. Michael-Albertville power plays. The Lakers' offense rang up 50 shots on St. Michael-Albertville's net. Prior Lake found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Lakers average 3.5 goals per contest.

Prior Lake additionally got points from Connor Bump, who also registered one goal and one assist, Will Reedy, who also had one goal and one assist, and Austin Polson McCannon, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Tyler Grobel also scored for Prior Lake. In addition, Prior Lake received assists from Austin Hill, who had two and Lincoln Eiter, Jeff Pieper, Hayden Maxfield, Michael Stebbing, and Sam Taylor, who each chipped in one.

The Knights did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. St. Michael-Albertville puts an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game. The Knights' penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to Prior Lake's power play unit.

St. Michael-Albertville was led by David Anderson, who scored the team's only goal. Anderson scored 43 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Michael-Albertville. Jon Gibbs picked up the assist.

Jordan Moran made 26 saves before being replaced by Nick Vidmar, who took the win and made three saves. The Lakers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Matt Borgen rejected 44 shots on goal for the Knights. St. Michael-Albertville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
