Duluth East downs Lakeville North, 2-0

Ryan Lundgren tallied one point to lead the Duluth East Greyhounds to a 2-0 victory over the Lakeville North Panthers.

Duluth East managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Greyhounds wound up below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. Duluth East was held below its usual level of production. The Greyhounds average 4.3 goals per game. Duluth East put 30 shots on net during the contest, more than the 4.9 it averages per game.

Wyatt Irwin also scored for Duluth East. In addition, Duluth East received assists from Meirs Moore, who had two and Alex Toscano and Justin Smith, who each chipped in one.

Lakeville North's offense operated below it season average. The Panthers put an average of 2.6 pucks into the net per game.

Casen Sjerven recorded 20 saves for the Greyhounds. Duluth East registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Lakeville North's Will Dupont stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Panthers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
