The Apple Valley Eagles pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the Woodbury Royals on a clutch goal by Logan Kohorst.

Apple Valley was sparked by Kohorst, who racked up one goal. Kohorst scored 3:32 into overtime to make the score 2-1 Apple Valley.

Mason Preston also scored for Apple Valley. Other players who recorded assists for Apple Valley were Jacob Smith and Christian Smith, who each chipped in one.

Woodbury put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Eagles to score on any of their three power plays.

The Royals were led by Ford Pendleton, who scored the team's only goal. Pendleton scored 5:34 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Woodbury. Jordan Graham picked up the assist.

Mac Wartick made 23 saves for Apple Valley on 24 shots. The Eagles incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Woodbury's Evan Broadbent stopped 22 shots out of the 24 that he faced. The Royals incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
