Hinrichs leads Bloomington Kennedy over Robbinsdale Cooper, 10-3

Brad Hinrichs had two goals and two assists to lead the Bloomington Kennedy Eagles to a 10-3 victory over the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks.

Hinrichs' tallies came at 13:48 into the first period to make the score 4-3 Bloomington Kennedy and on the power play 7:00 into the third to make the score 8-3 Bloomington Kennedy.

Robbinsdale Cooper was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as Bloomington Kennedy was able to score four times while on the power play.

The Eagles put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Hawks to score on any of their five power plays. Bloomington Kennedy kept Robbinsdale Cooper's goalie busy throughout the game, and Kelly Sandhofer made 28 saves on 38 shots. The Eagles found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Bloomington Kennedy averages 2.9 goals per game. The Eagles got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed four goals during the game.

Bloomington Kennedy additionally got points from James Hartley, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Jacob OKeefe, who also had one goal and one assist, Sam Schmitz, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, and Jacob Roers, who also finished with two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Bloomington Kennedy also had goals scored by Mitchell Radcliff, who had one and Conor Jensen, who had two. In addition, Bloomington Kennedy received assists from Michael Jost, who had two, Tait Carlson, Thomas Bresnahan, and Samuel Wickstrom, who contributed one a piece, and Michael McCullen and Hank Roers, who each chipped in three.

The Hawks were helped by Nick Johnson, who registered one goal. Johnson scored 1:44 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Robbinsdale Cooper. Joe Huber also scored for Robbinsdale Cooper. Other players who recorded assists for Robbinsdale Cooper were Hayden Gautsche, who had one.

David Johnson made 14 saves for Bloomington Kennedy on 17 shots. The Eagles incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Robbinsdale Cooper ended with 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors and two majors.
