Behind a great game by Austin Anderson, who had two goals and three assists, the Rosemount Irish defeated the Bloomington Kennedy Eagles, 6-3.

Anderson's tallies came at 9:55 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and 13:47 into the second to make the score 3-2 Rosemount.

Rosemount racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with four minors and four majors for 28 minutes in penalty time. The Irish had been averaging 12.0 minutes in penalties per game. Rosemount's offense rang up 47 shots on Bloomington Kennedy's net. The Irish surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Rosemount averages 3.4 goals per contest.

Rosemount also got points from Ryan Foley, who also registered one goal and one assist. Rosemount also got a goal from Justin Crowell as well. More assists for Rosemount came via Andrew Glad and Luke Meade, who each chipped in one and Lukas Gillett, Nate Sackett, and Anthony Winters, who contributed two a piece.

The Eagles were helped by Jacob OKeefe, who tallied one goal. OKeefe scored on the power play 4:37 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Bloomington Kennedy. Bloomington Kennedy had gained a power play chance when Bryan Herman was whistled for tripping. James Hartley provided the assist. Bloomington Kennedy additionally got points from Hartley, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Thomas Bresnahan also scored for Bloomington Kennedy. Other players who recorded assists for Bloomington Kennedy were Tait Carlson, who had two and Conor Jensen and Michael Jost, who each chipped in one.

Austin Leslie made 23 saves for the Irish on 26 shots. Rosemount registered two goals on four power play opportunities. The Eagles' David Johnson stopped 41 shots out of the 47 that he faced. Bloomington Kennedy incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
