Lindquist leads Bloomington Jefferson over Eastview, 5-1

The Bloomington Jefferson Jaguars' Jono Lindquist had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 5-1 win over the Eastview Lightning.

Lindquist beat Matthew Montgomery with a shot 1:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Bloomington Jefferson. AJ Robbel picked up the assist. Lindquist dished an assist on Charlie Straus's goal that made the score 2-0 Bloomington Jefferson at 5:57 into the first period. He added another helper on Johnny Panvica's goal that made the score 3-0 Bloomington Jefferson at 7:51 into the second period.

Eastview was unable to stop Bloomington Jefferson from sending pucks towards the net, and the Jaguars eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Bloomington Jefferson also got points from Straus, who also had one goal and one assist. Ryan Freese also scored for Bloomington Jefferson. More assists for Bloomington Jefferson came via Tony Roisum, Jack Weiss, and Neal Walsh, who contributed one a piece.

The Lightning's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Eastview is averaging 2.3 goals against for the season.

The Lightning were led by Ryan McNamara, who scored the team's only goal. McNamara scored on the power play 3:01 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Bloomington Jefferson. Pierce Erickson assisted on the tally.

Bloomington Jefferson's Grant Martens stopped 18 shots out of the 19 that he faced. The Jaguars incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Montgomery rejected 29 shots on goal for Eastview. The Lightning incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
