The Burnsville Blaze relied on the sparkling performance of Chris Mallon in net to grab a 2-1 win against the Eastview Lightning.

Burnsville was led by Anthony Rikberg, who racked up one goal. Rikberg scored 11:03 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Burnsville. Mason Schneider picked up the assist.

The Blaze's offense was clicking better than usual and put 26 shots on goal during the game, better than the 1.0 shot per game they average.

Burnsville also got a goal from Sam Dockry as well. In addition, Burnsville received assists from Cole Borchardt, Tyler Sheehy, and Teemu Kivihalme, who each chipped in one.

Eastview was held below its usual level of production. The Lightning average 3.1 goals per game.

Eastview was led by Jake McGlocklin, who scored the team's only goal. McGlocklin scored on the power play nine seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Eastview. Pierce Erickson provided the assist.

Mallon recorded 26 saves for Burnsville. The Blaze incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Lightning's Zachary Driscoll stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Eastview incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
