Burnsville blows out Lakeville North, 4-1Lakeville Ames Arena Sat, Jan 19, 2013 The Burnsville Blaze had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over the Lakeville North Panthers. Burnsville was led by Cole Borchardt, who registered one goal and one assist. Borchardt scored 15:03 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Burnsville. Tyler Sheehy provided the assist. The 21 shots that the Blaze put on net surpassed Burnsville's average of 0.9 shots per game this season. Burnsville also got points from Teemu Kivihalme, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Burnsville also got a goal from Sam Dockry as well. Other players who recorded assists for Burnsville were Andy Shoen and Dylan Weigel, who contributed one a piece. Lakeville North racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with six minors and one major for 17 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 12.0 minutes per game the Panthers had been spending in the box. Lakeville North was led by Jack McNeely, who scored the team's only goal. McNeely scored on the power play 8:38 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Burnsville. The Panthers had taken the advantage when the Blaze's Kivihalme got sent off for cross checking. Jack Poehling assisted on the tally. Chris Mallon recorded 20 saves for Burnsville. The Blaze incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Lakeville North's Pierce Wilson stopped 17 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Panthers registered one goal on four power play opportunities.
