The Eagan Wildcats scored three goals in the second period to pull away from the Apple Valley Eagles and clinch a 7-1 win.

Eagan was paced by Zach Glienke, who registered one goal and one assist. Glienke scored 13 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-0 Eagan. Cullen Willox picked up the assist.

The Wildcats forced Apple Valley goalie Mac Wartick to work between the pipes, taking 52 shots.

Eagan additionally got points from Willox, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Jesse Gabrielle, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, and Jack Jenson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Eagan included Peter Zibley, who had one and Josh Loew, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Eagan were Kyle Stebbing, Ian Entzion, Josh Brown, Will Peterson, Nick Smallidge, and Nick Gray, who each chipped in one.

Eagan's Andrew Lindgren stopped 14 shots out of the 15 that he faced. The Wildcats incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities. Mac Wartick made 45 saves for the Eagles on 52 shots. Apple Valley ended with no penalties and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
