Lukas Gillett had two goals to lead the Rosemount Irish to a 4-1 victory over the Apple Valley Eagles.

Gillett found the back of the net 15:22 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Rosemount and again while 1:43 into the third to make the score 3-1 Rosemount.

Evan Weiand also scored for Rosemount. In addition, Rosemount received assists from Zach Bichler, who had two and Ryan Foley and Anthony Winters, who each chipped in one.

Apple Valley was led by Brandon Smith, who scored the team's only goal. Smith scored on the power play 11:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Apple Valley. A boarding penalty on Weiand had put the Eagles on the power play. Christian Smith assisted on the tally.

Tom Fraune rejected 15 shots on goal for Rosemount. The Irish totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and had no power play opportunities. Apple Valley's Shane Van Dusartz stopped 19 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The Eagles ended with no penalties and went 1-for-3 on the power play.
