Wayzata holds on for 4-3 win against BurnsvillePlymouth Ice Center Thu, Jan 10, 2013 The Wayzata Trojans survived a determined comeback attempt by the Burnsville Blaze on the way to a 4-3 win. Wayzata took a 4-0 lead during the third period, only to have Burnsville storm back on a Tyler Sheehy goal 16:31 into the third period to pull to one goal down. Matthew Freytag had a great game for the Trojans, netting two goals. Wayzata's offense was clicking better than usual and put 23 shots on goal during the game, better than the 8.1 shots per game it averages. Chase Heising also scored for Wayzata. More assists for Wayzata came via Jack Sorensen, who had two and Alex Stevens, Jalen Wahl, Alec Hemenway, and Jacob Moelk, who contributed one a piece. The Blaze put 27 shots on net during the contest, more than the 1.2 they average per game. Burnsville was led by Teemu Kivihalme, who racked up one goal and two assists. Kivihalme scored 11:15 into the third period to make the score 4-1 Wayzata. Sam Dockry assisted on the tally. Burnsville also got points from Cole Borchardt, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Burnsville received assists from Anthony Rikberg, who had one. Aaron Dingman rejected 24 shots on goal for the Trojans. Wayzata incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Nic Anderson recorded 19 saves for the Blaze. Burnsville incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
