Joey Kleven lifted the Prior Lake Lakers to a 4-0 victory with a hat trick against the Bloomington Kennedy Eagles.

Kleven got on the scoresheet 6:47 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:34 into the second and at 14:20 into the third.

Prior Lake's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Bloomington Kennedy power plays. The Lakers forced Bloomington Kennedy goalie David Johnson to work between the pipes, taking 50 shots. Prior Lake was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 16 penalty minutes.

Prior Lake also got a goal from Jack Jack as well. More assists for Prior Lake came via Ben Keckeisen, who had two and Dylan Zins and Gavin Smith, who contributed one a piece.

The Eagles' offense operated below they season average. Bloomington Kennedy averages 2.8 goals per game. The Lakers' defense shut down the Eagles' forwards for much of the game, and Bloomington Kennedy got off only 11 shots during the contest. The Eagles could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Jordan Moran made 11 saves for Prior Lake on 11 shots. The Lakers registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Johnson rejected 46 shots on goal for Bloomington Kennedy.
