Austin Polson McCannon lifted the Prior Lake Lakers to a 5-2 victory with a hat trick against the Apple Valley Eagles.

Polson McCannon notched his first tally 11:00 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:16 into the second and at 12:00 into the third.

Prior Lake stifled Apple Valley's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Lakers kept the Eagles' goalie busy throughout the game, and Mac Wartick made 34 saves on 39 shots.

Prior Lake also got points from Blake Busch, who also had one goal and one assist and Dylan Zins, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. More assists for Prior Lake came via Lincoln Eiter, Will Reedy, Tyler Grobel, Ben Keckeisen, and Gavin Smith, who each chipped in one.

Apple Valley was helped by Mason Preston, who racked up one goal. Preston scored short handed 13:25 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Prior Lake. A hooking call on Calvin Leong put the Eagles on the penalty kill. Jacob Smith picked up the assist. Apple Valley also got a goal from Logan Kohorst as well. In addition, Apple Valley received assists from Christian Smith, who had one.

Prior Lake's Jordan Moran stopped 13 shots out of the 15 that he faced. The Lakers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Apple Valley incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
