Roseville falls to Stillwater in overtime, 5-4 (OT)Roseville Thu, Feb 07, 2013 The Stillwater Ponies pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over the Roseville Raiders on a clutch goal by Sam Sagissor. Stillwater overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Ponies was down 3-1 after a goal by Roseville's Ross Stecklein at 13:07 in the second period. Stillwater tied things up at 4-4 on a power play goal by Wyatt Stotts at 15:27 in the third period. In a losing effort, the Raiders were sparked by Tony Arias, who racked up two goals. Arias scored the first of his two goals at 11:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Roseville. Drew Liberkowski picked up the assist. Arias' next tally made the score 4-3 Roseville with 10:36 left in the third period. Liberkowski provided the assist. The Ponies stifled Roseville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Stillwater found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Ponies average 2.8 goals per contest. Stillwater put 35 shots on net during the contest, more than the 1.0 it averages per game. Stillwater also got points from Zach Eder-Zdech, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Colton Anderson also scored for Stillwater. More assists for Stillwater came via Jon Heddle, Brandon Jungman, Aaron Kasinak, and Josh Clark, who contributed one a piece. The Ponies were unable to stop the Raiders from sending pucks towards the net, and Roseville eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Roseville additionally got points from Robb Stautz, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Roseville received assists from Cory Martinez, Andrerw Colvard, and Colton Brauesen, who each chipped in one. Stillwater's Anderson stopped 27 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Ponies incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Zach Larson made 30 saves for the Raiders on 35 shots. Roseville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
