Roseville pulls away in second, rolls over Woodbury, 9-1Roseville Sat, Jan 19, 2013 The Roseville Raiders used a five-goal second period to put away the Woodbury Royals, 9-1. Roseville's Ryan Hoag was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 34 saves and let only one puck past him. Despite the solid performance, Hoag will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.18 entering the contest. Andrerw Colvard was a peerless playmaker for the Raiders, as he dished out four to beat Woodbury,. Roseville's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Woodbury power plays. The Raiders kept the Royals' goalie busy throughout the game, and Connor Kwiatkowski made 33 saves on 42 shots. Roseville surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Raiders have scored at the pace of 4.1 goals per game during the current campaign. Roseville also got points from Matt Irwin, who also registered two goals and one assist, Cory Martinez, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Tony Arias, who also had one goal and one assist, Ryan Larson, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Colton Brauesen, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Alex Brauesen, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Ryan Novotny also scored for Roseville. Other players who recorded assists for Roseville were Pearcy Marks, who had one and Robb Stautz, who had two. Roseville was unable to stop Woodbury from sending pucks towards the net, and the Royals eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. Woodbury was led by Hayden Shaw, who scored the team's only goal. Shaw scored 2:44 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Roseville. The Raiders incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Royals incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
