Woodbury wins tough contest against Rosemount, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Woodbury Royals escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Rosemount Irish.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Jordan Graham at 3:38 of the third period.

Woodbury was led by Graham, who grabbed one goal and one assist.

The Royals struggled on the penalty kill, allowing Rosemount to score two power play goals on three chances.

Sasha Choporov also scored for Woodbury. More assists for Woodbury came via Dan Armstrong, who had one.

The Irish's offense rang up 33 shots on Woodbury's net.

Rosemount was helped by Austin Anderson, who tallied one goal. Anderson scored on the power play 10:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Rosemount. The Irish earned a power play opportunity when Armstrong was put in the box for slashing. Luke Meade provided the assist. Rosemount also got a goal from Ryan Foley as well. Other players who recorded assists for Rosemount were Lukas Gillett and Anthony Winters, who each chipped in one.

Connor Kwiatkowski rejected 31 shots on goal for the Royals. Woodbury totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Tom Fraune recorded 24 saves for Rosemount. The Irish incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
