Cretin-Derham Hall downs Forest Lake, 5-2

Patrick Cullen registered one point to lead the Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders to a 5-2 victory over the Forest Lake Rangers.

Cretin-Derham Hall kept Forest Lake's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jesse Garcia made 32 saves on 37 shots.

Cretin-Derham Hall additionally got points from Bret Huebner, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Cretin-Derham Hall also got a goal from Tanner Lydon as well. More assists for Cretin-Derham Hall came via Joe Dekker, who had two and Nick Reis, Jim Buckingham, and Levi Bailey, who contributed one a piece.

The Rangers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Raiders to score on any of their three power plays. Forest Lake did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Rangers average 4.5 goals per game.

Forest Lake was helped by Brett Gravelle, who tallied one goal and one assist. Gravelle scored on the power play 5:18 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Cretin-Derham Hall. The Rangers earned a power play opportunity when Huebner was put in the box for tripping. Kyle Parker provided the assist. Forest Lake also got points from Cody Rogala, who also had one goal and one assist.

Trent Jancze rejected 13 shots on goal for Cretin-Derham Hall. The Raiders incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Forest Lake incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
