Stillwater rips Woodbury, 4-1

The Woodbury Royals had trouble finding ways to stop the Stillwater Ponies, which beat Royals, 4-1.

Stillwater was led by goalie Colton Anderson, who finished with 25 saves while allowing one goal. Anderson managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.75 prior to the game.

The Ponies were paced by Cates Devin, who tallied one goal and one assist. Devin scored 1:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Stillwater.

Jon Peterson also scored for Stillwater. In addition, Stillwater received assists from Nick Peterson, who had one.

Woodbury was led by Jack Glaeser, who scored the team's only goal. Glaeser scored on the power play 8:58 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Stillwater. The Royals had gotten the advantage when Stillwater's Blake Kohanek was sent off for tripping. Geno Demke provided the assist.

The Ponies incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities. Connor Kwiatkowski recorded 22 saves for Woodbury. The Royals ended with no penalties and went 1-for-3 on the power play.
